Why this blog

Ever since I remember, I have had my head buried in books. Books transported me to another world, where I could run away from reality, be other people, feel other emotions, stay in other places. Anywhere anytime was better than what surrounded me. Not that my childhood was specially dramatic, sad or hard, but I suffered enough to find reading a calming theraphy, a way to evade, to fly, to dream. That´s why at the age of 13 I was fascinated with Oscar Wilde and his character Dorin Gray while many other girls were in love with Edward Cullen and their maximun aspiration was being Bella Swan. Of course I have read romantic books for teenagers, like Twilight and The sisterhood of the travelling Pants, I find them really entertaining and amusing, but in them I just seek funn and distraction, I do not expect to find characters with a complex personality or life issues that could teach me something or well-constructed plots. The same happens with films: I enjoy romantic comedies, like The ugly truth, but what I really love are good films, with a backgroud, films which every single second can be analyzed, squeezing every scene in order to obtain the film message and meaning.
A good book is like a melody: every single note plays and important role in the whole piece, and every note, if separated from the others, sounds harmoniously and beatifully, just like the pages and chapters of a book contain its essence, and if they are readed appart they make sense and even it can be guessed the message of the book. I could not be able to make a list of my favaourite books, nor a list of the best I have read. Each book I liked is special in their own way.
The idea of starting this blog came to me when I was practising for an English exam and I had to write a review about the importance of different characters in a novel. I choose Romeo and Juliet, I love that play, I do not know how many times I have read it.I was not supposed to write more than 280 words and I usually have problems reaching that number when I am practising different kinds of writings, but when I had to write about that play I surpassed the 280 words effortlessly, and at the end I counted 505 words! When I was writing it felt wonderful, I did not stop to think, I just wrote as if someone else was dictating, but it was just me, my mind. I think it was because I knew the topic through and through and, moreover, I loved it! So a few days afterwars I had to write an article entitled "Every good book has a message about life", this time I choosed Hunting and Gathering, written by Anna Gavalda. It happened to me the same as the last time so I had the idea of starting a blog about my passion: literature. So from no on, I will write a review about every book I read or some I have already read, making a sort of a glossary in which pages I will analyze books, their message, their characters, the writers aim etc.
And that´s all.
